Match the roller stem length and wheel diameter to what's already on the door - mixed sizes are a common DIY mistake that reintroduces the same grinding a week later.
Oil masks a worn roller for a week or two but doesn't fix an oval axle pin or a flat-spotted wheel. If the rollers are original to a 1960s or 70s build, as a lot of Hayward's housing stock is, lubricant is a delay, not a repair. Once the wheel shape is gone, it needs replacing.
